a) Job Specifications
Duties and responsibilities: -
- Developing and updating file index;
- Receiving and filing of records and information;
- Making data entries;
- Storing and retrieving records and information;
- Tracking of files and documents;
- Indexing, profiling and distribution of memos;
- Circulating of files and documents;
- Receiving, filing, retrieving and dispatching of records and information.
b) Persons Specification
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
- Higher National Diploma/Diploma in any of the following field: Library and Information Science, or Records and Information Technology or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Meets requirements of the Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.
c) Skills
- Proficiency in computer applications;
- Organizational skills
- Communication skills; and
- Administrative skills
- Analytical skills and keen to details.
d) Competencies
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Ability to work independently and in a team;
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work;
- Experience in document indexing;
- Demonstrated experience in Filing.
