a) Job Specifications

Duties and responsibilities: -

  1. Assisting in Drafting and verification of routine correspondences;
  2. Assisting in Processing payroll;
  3. Assisting in Collating and analysing training applications;
  4. Assisting in Processing employee recruitment, promotion and exit documents;
  5. Assisting in processing of leave applications, sick sheets and sick offs;
  6. Updating of Staff Medical details, National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) and National Social Security Fund (NSSF) records;
  7. Maintaining complement control;
  8. Carrying out leave administration;
  9. Updating human resource database; and
  10. Analysing data on work environment and employees' satisfaction surveys.

b) Persons Specification

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

  1. Degree in Social Sciences/Human Resource Management/Business Administration or other relevant course from a university recognized in Kenya;
  2. CHRP II or an equivalent relevant qualification from an institution recognized in Kenya;
  3. Membership in a relevant professional body in good standing;
  4. Meets the provisions of the Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.

c) Skills

  1. Proficiency in computer applications;
  2. Communication Skills;
  3. Analytical Skills;
  4. Keen to details.

d) Competencies

  1. Knowledge of Human Resource Management systems.
  2. Knowledge of national labour laws.
  3. Ability to work under pressure;
  4. Ability to work independently and in a team;
  5. Ability to multi-task and prioritize work;
  6. Demonstrated results in work performance;
  7. Demonstrated ability to implement Quality Management Systems;
  8. A track-record of excellent time management skills.
